Brief
NECCUS is an alliance of industry, government and experts, united by their determination to drive the changes and programmes needed to reduce carbon emissions from industrial sources in Scotland and beyond. With the UK legally obliged to meet its net zero target by 2050 we must tackle CO2 emissions from industrial sources such as chemical processing, heavy industry and the manufacturing of construction materials. NECCUS supports the development and deployment of all the technologies that are capable of helping to achieve this.
After creating their branding, Monster were asked to design a website for NECCUS that would allow them to display news, events, and information about their decarbonisation project. Their main goal was to deliver information about carbon capture in a way that would be clear and easy to understand.
A brand new website
Monster worked with NECCUS’ marketing team to produce a clear sitemap for the website. As with all of our sites, we began by designing all the key pages on the site, before going on to build the site, using WordPress as a framework.
We took into account the NECCUS branding through the site theme, and created clear elements that would work at any screen size. Monster gave guidance into commissioning 3D models to be used across the ‘Vision’ section, showing a timeline to net-zero in an easy to understand way.
